At present, there are mainly two forms of cutting flame cutting and mechanical cutting in the continuous casting machine.

The mechanical shearing equipment is large, but its speed is fast and the precision of the cut length is high. Especially in the production of small and constant-sized billets, it is widely used on the billet caster because it has no metal loss and is easy to operate.

In flame cutting, oxygen and gas could be used to cut the billet through the cutting nozzle. Generally, it is used to manufactured in blooms and slab casters.
