Ironmaking process
Apr 26, 2018

During the smelting process, the burden (ore, flux, coke) is loaded into the furnace from the top of the furnace in batches by loading equipment in a defined proportion. The high-temperature hot air blown from the lower tuyere reacts with coke, and the resulting high-temperature reducing gas rises, and the furnace material is heated, reduced, melted, and slagging, producing a series of physical and chemical changes. Finally, liquid slag and iron are accumulated in the furnace and discharged from the blast furnace periodically .During the rising process, the temperature of the gas stream continuously decreases and the composition changes gradually. Finally, blast furnace gas is formed and discharged from the top of the furnace.
