Continuous casting operation process---control of molten steel temperature

Proper continuous casting of molten steel temperature is an important prerequisite and basis for ensuring that the continuous casting production process can be carried out and the quality of the product. It cannot be too high or too low. If the molten steel temperature is too low, the nodules freeze in the ladle or tundish, causing the casting to break and worsening the surface quality of the cast billet. If the molten steel temperature is too high, the columnar crystals of the billet will be developed and the development of defects such as center segregation, porosity and cracks will be promoted. At the same time, it will increase the secondary oxidation of the molten steel itself and the melting loss of the lining of the steel bag and the refractory material of the nozzle, thereby contaminating the molten steel. In addition, when the temperature is too high, only low-speed pouring can be used, which will reduce the caster productivity.
